Local Impact is seeking a ‘Content Cadet’ to assist the Marketing Coordinator in their creation and distribution of video, photographic and graphic design content on digital channels.
The Content Cadet will be a student or early career digital practitioner, with some experience in photography, videography and designing graphics for social media (Adobe or Canva). They will be creative, energetic, driven and community minded. Some experience in a professional non-profit setting is advantageous but not essential.
Through this opportunity, the Content Cadet will collaborate with several social enterprises – including the Community Bike Hub, the Money Mentor financial literacy program, and The Westsider community newspaper – and will therefore need to be a strong communicator, creative problem solver, and a quick learner.
The position is offered on a casual basis and will be based in Melbourne’s inner west – primarily Seddon, Yarraville and West Footscray. Some travel between locations will be required.
To apply, please send through a short cover letter introducing yourself, a current CV and an example of your creative work – including photography, video and/or design – by Friday 19 July.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
Not sure whether you fill all the criteria? Don’t stress – what we’re looking for is passion and creativity! Everything else can be learnt!
