Pamela Sutton-Legaud

The wonderful privilege of working in the not-for-profit sector, as I do, is to be able to contribute to the creation and nurturing of great social enterprise initiatives.

I am thrilled to bring my Australian and international experiences in this sector to Local Impact. My relevant expertise includes organisational leadership, revenue-generation, financial management and strategic change management. Leadership roles in such organisations as Bush Heritage Australia, Plan International, Oxfam Australia, Zoos Victoria and Seddon Community Bank have helped me to deepen these skills.

I have also worked extensively in the commercial sector and seen first-hand how dynamic ideas and initiatives can emerge when people from different sectors come together, share insights, work cooperatively and think strategically. My consultancy and public speaking work, along with my academic achievements, have given me numerous opportunities to engage with Australian schools, universities and charities, providing strategic advice to build capacity and financial sustainability.

Serving on the Hobsons Bay City Council keeps me attuned to my community and its needs and aspirations. This compliments and enriches my involvement with Local Impact as we develop and implement progressive social programs and partnerships that connect and empower.
